About Me

I am a project researcher in the Research Institute of Economics and Business Administration at Kobe University. My main areas of interest are in applied microeconomics, primarily at the intersection of development economics, health economics, and personality psychology.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Kobe University in September 2025. My doctoral research focused on the Sri Lankan Civil War, specifically the effects of war exposure on health, labor market choices, and the formation of beliefs and preferences. I am particularly interested in how beliefs, skills, and identities are formed, as well as their role in social integration.

My name is pronounced as “Deel-Neh (as in ‘next’)-Fees Gh (like ‘r’ sound in French) ay-Rat”, I go by Dina. I like cats, mountains, coffee shops, and learning languages.
